Olivier Delgrange is a partner specialising in commercial law
, with a particular focus on all aspects of commercial contracts, sales and distribution, franchising, competition, and intellectual property and industrial property law
. In these areas he advises clients both on the transactional aspects and any resulting disputes which may arise.
Olivier also has particular knowledge of private international law, and is often called to advise clients on questions such as choice of law, forum and jurisdiction. He has deep experience acting for clients in cross-border litigation and international arbitration.
Olivier is a fluent German and Italian speaker and heads Wenner’s Italian practice, advising Italian entities on all matters concerning their French operations. He acts for a variety of medium-to-large corporate and industrial clients, particularly French subsidiaries of German and Italian clients.
Olivier’s recent experience includes :
- Advising an on-line betting company in litigation against the French authorities and competitors. This litigation, which involved both civil and criminal aspects, went through all levels of the French and European courts, including the French Supreme Court (Cour de Cassation), the French High Court in Public Law Matters, the Conseil Constitutionnel and the European Court of Justice;
- Advising on multiple consecutive procedures arising out of the termination of commercial relations, as both claimant and defendant;
- Advising an English company on the reorganisation of its commercial representation in France;
- Advising a German company whose French subsidiary was the victim of unfair competition orchestrated by employees and former employees.
Olivier is the author of numerous articles on European and commercial law, in French, German, Italian and English. He is also a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars on these topics. He was the Director of Publication for the law review Droit et Affaires from 1992 to 1999, and a Member of the Chamber of Arbitration of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in France from 2004 to 2008.
Olivier joined WENNER in 1978 and has been a partner since 1988.
